## What this firm publishes

Topstep is a futures prop firm that calls itself a day trading program with three stages: a monthly-subscription evaluation called the Trading Combine, a simulated Express Funded Account (XFA) where payouts are taken, and a Live Funded Account trading the firm's own capital, which its Risk Team offers by call-up. Accounts come in $50,000, $100,000 and $150,000 sizes on listed CME Group futures, with no forex and every position closed by 3:10 PM CT each weekday. The Topstep homepage claims $1.4B+ paid out to prop firm traders.

The Trading Combine has one rule, the Maximum Loss Limit: an end-of-day trailing drawdown of $2,000, $3,000 or $4,500 by size, monitored in real time including unrealized P&L. Profit targets are $3,000, $6,000 and $9,000, and the 55% consistency rule raises the target whenever your highest-profit day exceeds 55% of it, so passing takes at least 2 days. ### How much does a Topstep Trading Combine cost?

The Topstep Trading Combine is a monthly subscription: $49, $99 or $199 a month for the 50K, 100K and 150K accounts on the Standard path, or $95, $149 or $229 on the No Activation Fee path. The Standard path adds a $149 activation fee for each Express Funded Account earned, and a Reset costs the same as the monthly price.

### What is Topstep's profit split?

Topstep pays a 90% profit split (90/10) in the Express Funded Account and the Live Funded Account. Traders who joined the new Topstep dashboard before January 12, 2026 receive 100% of their first $10,000 in lifetime profits, then 90%.

### What are the Topstep drawdown rules?

Topstep's Maximum Loss Limit is an end-of-day trailing drawdown of $2,000 on 50K, $3,000 on 100K and $4,500 on 150K accounts. It rises with your end-of-day balance, locks at the starting balance, and liquidates the account as soon as realized plus unrealized P&L touches it.

### Does Topstep have a consistency rule?

### Can you hold trades overnight at Topstep?

No. Topstep is a day trading program: every position must be closed by 3:10 PM CT each weekday, including Friday, and trading reopens at 5:00 PM CT.
