A prop firm’s drawdown limit is a dollar amount, so the useful question is how far the market can move against you before you hit it. On a $2,000 limit, one ETH contract has $40 per ether (80 ticks) of room; five contracts have $8 per ether (16 ticks). A trailing drawdown shrinks that room as open profit is given back, so measure from where the limit is now, not where it started.

ETH micro and mini

MET (Micro Ether) tracks the same market at 1/500 the size of ETH: one tick is worth $0.05, against $25.

Sizing in the smaller contract lets you scale a position in finer steps, at the cost of paying commission on more contracts. Micro vs mini futures compares every pair.

Which prop firms allow ETH?

Each futures prop firm publishes its own list of permitted products and its own contract limits, and many count micros differently from minis. We do not yet record those lists symbol by symbol, so this page does not name firms rather than guess. Compare futures prop firms and check the firm’s rules page for ETH before you buy an evaluation.

A $10 move in ether is worth $500 per ETH contract: 20 ticks of $25.

What are ETH trading hours?

ETH trades on CME Globex 24/7, except maintenance windows on Saturday 2:00 am – 4:00 am CT and Monday–Friday 4:00 pm – 4:02 pm CT. Holidays shorten or close sessions.

What is a proprietary trading firm (prop firm)?

A proprietary trading firm, also known as a prop firm, is a company that provides traders with access to funded trading accounts. Most prop firms require traders to pass an evaluation or challenge that tests consistency, risk management, and profitability before granting a funded account.

How do prop firm challenges work?

Prop firm challenges are evaluation programs where traders must meet specific profit targets while following strict risk management rules.
