How the figures are made

Prop Firm Pal tracks 680 prop firms. Price and rule statistics are computed from the 54 firms with complete published terms, and every figure above states its own sample size, because not every firm publishes every field.

Prices are the cheapest evaluation at each account size. Instant funding is reported separately throughout, because it buys the account outright rather than a chance at one and costs several times more per $1,000 of funding. Figures describe the firms we track, not the entire market, and none of them are extrapolated.

Prop trading is generally legal in most countries, but the regulatory status of specific prop firms can vary. Some jurisdictions have introduced rules affecting how prop firms operate or market their services. Certain prop firms also restrict access to traders in specific countries. Prop Firm Pal includes restricted country information on individual firm pages so you can quickly check whether a firm is available to traders in your region.

Yes, most prop firms charge a one-time challenge fee to enter an evaluation program. This fee typically ranges from around $50 for smaller account sizes to several hundred dollars for larger funded accounts. The fee covers access to the evaluation environment. If you pass, some firms refund the challenge fee with your first payout. Firms offering free challenges are rare and often compensate by taking a larger profit split or applying stricter conditions.

The best prop firm for futures trading will offer access to CME or exchange-listed contracts, clear rules around leverage and contract limits, and a payout structure suitable for high-frequency or systematic futures strategies. Futures prop firms often operate differently from forex-focused ones, with different fee structures and account types. Prop Firm Pal includes futures-focused firms in its comparisons so you can evaluate which programs support your preferred instruments and trading approach.

Each prop firm page on Prop Firm Pal includes a detailed company overview, evaluation rules, profit targets, drawdown limits, profit split information, available account sizes, trading instruments, restricted countries, FAQs, and user reviews. We aim to provide everything a trader needs to evaluate a funded trading program in one place.
