About the firm
Apex Trader Funding is one of the largest futures prop firms by trader count, founded by Darrell Martin and running one-step evaluations on CME Group products across Rithmic, Tradovate and WealthCharts. An evaluation is a single one-time fee buying 30 calendar days of access - not a subscription - and a passed evaluation converts into a Performance Account on payment of a one-off activation fee, or none at all on the No Activation Fee plans. Apex is unusual in paying traders 100% of profits, and in offering both intraday-trailing and end-of-day-trailing drawdown on every account size. Up to 20 accounts can be run at once, and the firm states it has served over 100,000 traders in more than 100 countries.

Apex dates its trader network from 2008 - the year its founder's trading business began - rather than publishing a separate incorporation date for the funding programme.

Leverage & contract limits
Position limits: CME Group futures and micros. Evaluation position limits are 4 mini / 40 micro on 25K, 6 / 60 on 50K, 8 / 80 on 100K and 12 / 120 on 150K; a Performance Account starts at half the evaluation limit and scales up as the balance grows.
Futures accounts are sized by contract limit and exchange margin rather than by a leverage multiplier, so no forex-style leverage figure applies.
Risk model: Two drawdown models on every size. Intraday Trail follows highest equity during the session; EOD Trail is recalculated on the end-of-day balance and carries a daily loss limit ($500 on 25K up to $2,000 on 150K). Either way the threshold stops trailing once it reaches the starting balance. Evaluations need a minimum of one trading day and a 30% consistency rule; a Performance Account applies 50% consistency, measured as the largest winning day against net profit since the last payout.
Commissions & fees
An evaluation is a one-time purchase giving 30 consecutive calendar days of access, including weekends and holidays; it expires at 6:00 PM ET on day 30 with no extensions and does not rebill or need cancelling. Account size and type cannot be changed after checkout. Level 1 data is included in the fee; depth of market is bought separately through Rithmic, Tradovate or WealthCharts and cancelled there. Passing is assessed at market close, and a Performance Account must be activated within 7 calendar days of the pass. Up to 20 funded accounts may be held at once. Apex publishes a prohibited-activities policy and runs a front-month contract rule.
Firm rules
One-time fee, 30 days of access
Not a subscription
An evaluation is bought once and gives 30 consecutive calendar days, weekends and holidays included. It expires automatically at 6:00 PM ET on day 30, cannot be extended, and nothing rebills. If the profit target has not been reached by then the balance does not carry over - a new evaluation starts fresh. Account size and type cannot be changed after purchase, and fees are not refundable or transferable.
Trailing drawdown, two flavours
Intraday or end-of-day
Intraday Trail measures from the highest equity reached during the session, so unrealised profit moves the threshold. EOD Trail recalculates on the closing balance only and comes with a daily loss limit of $500 (25K), $1,000 (50K), $1,500 (100K) or $2,000 (150K). In both cases the threshold stops trailing once it reaches the starting balance. Hitting it fails the evaluation permanently; there is no reset.
Consistency: 30% then 50%
Tighter once funded
Evaluations apply a 30% consistency rule. In a Performance Account the rule is 50%: the largest winning day must be less than half of net profit since the last payout request, or since account inception where no payout has been taken. The account stays active while consistency is short of the mark - the payout simply cannot be requested until the percentage comes back in line.
Activation within 7 days
Or the pass lapses
Once an evaluation is marked passed after 6 PM ET, a Performance Account must be activated within 7 calendar days by paying the activation fee - $89 to $159 depending on size and drawdown type, or nothing at all on a No Activation Fee plan. Miss the window and the activation cannot be reopened; another evaluation has to be passed.
Payout caps and cadence
100% of profits, with limits
Apex pays 100% of trader profits. A request needs a $500 minimum and is capped at $1,500 (25K) to $2,750 (150K). The first request comes after 5 trading days; later ones need at least 8 trading days including 5 with $50 or more profit since the previous request. Up to 6 payout requests are allowed, after which the account moves on. Trading may continue while a request is pending.
Restricted countries are enforced automatically
Including payment origin
Apex cannot service new or additional accounts for residents of a long published list of countries, and using a payment method issued in a restricted country is grounds for immediate termination - whether the transaction succeeded or was declined. While in a restricted country a trader cannot buy accounts, request payouts or place trades. Identity is verified at registration against a narrow list of accepted documents.
Up to 20 accounts
One trader, many evaluations
A trader may hold as many as 20 funded accounts at once, and evaluations may be bought in multi-packs. A front-month contract rule applies, and Apex publishes a separate prohibited-activities policy covering practices it treats as gaming the programme.

FAQs
5No. You pay once for a specific account size and type, and that buys 30 consecutive calendar days of access. Nothing renews, there is nothing to cancel, and the evaluation expires at 6:00 PM ET on day 30. If you fail or run out of time, you buy a new evaluation rather than paying a reset fee.
Listed evaluation prices currently run from $167 for a 25K Intraday Trail to $2,490 for a 150K EOD Trail with no activation fee. Apex promotes a coupon code at checkout almost continuously - the site showed $16.70 against a $167 list price on 26 October 2026 - so the price you pay is usually well below list. Standard plans then charge a one-off Performance Account activation fee of $89 to $159; No Activation Fee plans charge nothing on passing.
Intraday Trail follows your highest equity during the session, so unrealised profit drags the threshold up behind you. EOD Trail only recalculates on your end-of-day balance, which makes intraday swings far less punishing, and adds a daily loss limit. Both stop trailing once the threshold reaches your starting balance, and EOD plans cost more.
Apex pays 100% of trader profits - there is no split. Payouts are capped per request, from $1,500 on a 25K to $2,750 on a 150K, with a $500 minimum and up to 6 requests. US traders are paid by ACH; everyone else through Plane.
Up to 20 funded accounts at one time, and evaluations can be bought in packs of five. The 50% consistency rule and the payout cadence are applied per account.
