About the firm
Blue Guardian Futures is the futures arm of Blue Guardian, a prop firm operated by Iconic Exchange FZCO out of Dubai and registered as Blue Guardian Limited in Saint Lucia. The futures line is sold separately from the firm's CFD programme and runs on its own rule set, its own help centre and its own plan names.
Four routes are offered. Standard and Reserve are one-phase evaluations with a 6% profit target. Express is a one-phase evaluation built around daily payout opportunities. Direct skips the evaluation entirely and starts funded. All four are sold as a one-time fee with no activation fee and no monthly subscription.
Blue Guardian states plainly in its own disclaimer that the programme is simulated: it is not a broker, does not take client deposits and does not hold client funds. Live trading happens through independently managed brokerage accounts.

Instruments & assets
Accounts trade futures listed on CME, CBOT, COMEX and NYMEX — equity index, interest rate, metals and energy contracts, in both mini and micro sizes. Blue Guardian treats one mini as the equivalent of ten micros when counting position limits.

Leverage & contract limits
Position size is capped by plan and account size rather than by a leverage ratio.
Standard and Direct carry a fixed limit: 1 mini / 10 micros on a 25K, 4 / 40 on a 50K, 8 / 80 on a 100K and 12 / 120 on a 150K.
Reserve and Express allow full contract access during the evaluation, then start funded on a lower limit — 1 / 10 on a 25K, 2 / 20 on a 50K and 3 / 30 on both the 100K and 150K — which scales back up as the end-of-day balance passes triggers at $1,500, $2,000, $3,000 and $4,500 depending on size and tier. Falling back below a threshold reduces the limit again.
On the Live account, limits are set by combined drawdown: up to $2,000 allows 2 minis / 20 micros, $2,000–$4,500 allows 4 / 40, $4,500–$6,500 allows 6 / 60, $6,500–$9,500 allows 8 / 80 and $9,500–$15,000 allows 10 / 100. These limits do not rise after a payout.
Commissions & fees
Four routes on one rule set: Standard and Reserve evaluate on a 6% target, Express is built for daily payouts capped at $1,100, and Direct starts funded. Every plan is a one-time fee with no activation fee and no subscription. Drawdown trails on balance and is published in dollars. Only CME Level 1 data is included; CBOT, COMEX and NYMEX feeds cost extra, and every payout is charged a 3% processing fee.
Firm rules
All four plans run a trailing maximum drawdown measured on balance, published in dollars rather than percentages.
- Standard: $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,500 / $5,000 by account size
- Reserve: $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 / $4,500
- Express: $1,000 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,500
- Direct: $1,500 / $2,000 / $3,500 / $4,500
Standard adds a daily loss limit of $1,000 on a 50K, $2,000 on a 100K and $3,000 on a 150K, with none on the 25K; breaching it is a soft breach that disables trading until the next session rather than failing the account. Reserve has no daily loss limit by default, but an optional add-on sets one at $600 / $1,200 / $1,700 / $3,000.
Consistency differs by plan: Standard applies a 40% rule once funded and none during the evaluation; Reserve applies a 50% rule during the evaluation with a published 1% tolerance, so the largest day may reach 51%; Direct steps through 20%, 25% and 30%. On Standard, no more than 50% of total profit may come from trades held under ten seconds.
Challenges & pricing
The evaluation target on Standard and Reserve is 6%: $1,500 on a 25K, $3,000 on a 50K, $6,000 on a 100K and $9,000 on a 150K. Direct has no evaluation.
Standard is $154 / $209 / $330 / $424 by size. Reserve is $112 / $210.67 / $284 / $460. Express, the cheapest route, is $86 / $130 / $205 / $320. Direct, which starts funded, is $350 / $452 / $598.67 / $718.67. These are list prices; Blue Guardian runs discount codes more or less continuously.
Payout policy
The profit split is up to 90%, and payout mechanics differ sharply by plan.
Standard: payouts every three days from three days after the first trade, once the balance clears a buffer of $1,600 / $2,100 / $3,600 / $5,100. The first payout is capped at $1,500 / $2,500 / $3,000 / $4,000 and later ones at $2,000 / $3,000 / $3,500 / $4,500.
Reserve: five qualifying winning days per cycle, which need not be consecutive, each clearing $100 / $150 / $200 / $250 of profit. Up to 50% of eligible profit may be requested, capped at $1,000 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,000. On accounts bought from 27 July 2026, payouts two to five also require net profit since the last payout of $500 / $750 / $1,000 / $1,250.
Express: daily payout opportunities, capped at $1,100 a day. Direct: instant payout opportunities from day one. Neither guarantees same-day approval.

FAQs
5It depends on the route. Express is the cheapest at $86 for a 25K, $130 for a 50K, $205 for a 100K and $320 for a 150K. Standard is $154, $209, $330 and $424. Reserve is $112, $210.67, $284 and $460. Direct, which starts funded with no evaluation, is $350, $452, $598.67 and $718.67. Every plan is a one-time fee with no activation fee and no subscription, and the firm runs discount codes almost continuously, so the price paid is usually below list.
Standard and Reserve run a one-phase evaluation with a 6% target: $1,500 on a 25K, $3,000 on a 50K, $6,000 on a 100K and $9,000 on a 150K. Direct has no evaluation at all and starts funded, so there is no target to clear.
Each plan is different. Standard allows a payout every three days, starting three days after the first trade, once the balance clears a buffer of $1,600 to $5,100 depending on size. Reserve requires five qualifying winning days per cycle, each clearing $100 to $250 of profit. Express offers daily payout opportunities capped at $1,100 a day. Direct advertises instant payouts from day one. All payouts carry a 3% processing fee and are paid by crypto or Rise Works.
Yes, and it varies. Standard has no consistency rule during the evaluation but applies a 40% rule once funded. Reserve is the other way round: a 50% rule during the evaluation, with a 1% tolerance that allows the largest day to reach 51%. Direct steps through 20%, 25% and 30%. Standard also caps profit from trades held under ten seconds at 50% of the total.
Futures accounts run on Tradovate, NinjaTrader, TradingView or DeepCharts, chosen at checkout. Products come from CME, CBOT, COMEX and NYMEX in both mini and micro sizes. Only CME Level 1 data is included in the price; data for the other three exchanges is a paid upgrade.
