About the firm
BluSky Trading is a futures prop firm whose accounts move through three stages rather than two: an evaluation, a buffer stage where a small target has to be cleared before money can come out, and a brokerage stage with no profit or payout caps. Four evaluation modes are sold - LAUNCH (two days, cheapest but with an activation fee at Launch), PROPEL (three days, no activation fee), ORBIT (one day) and Instant Funding - across balances from $3,500 to $300,000, including static-drawdown variants at 150K, 200K and 300K. Payouts are available daily Monday to Friday above the buffer, and the split is 90/10 on most plans.

Leverage & contract limits
Position limits: Position limits run from 1 mini / 10 micro on the 150K Static up to 15 mini / 150 micro on the 150K ORBIT - the static balances deliberately pair a large notional size with a small limit.
Futures accounts are sized by contract limit and exchange margin rather than by a leverage multiplier, so no forex-style leverage figure applies.
Risk model: Trailing end-of-day drawdown on the standard balances ($1,200 on a 25K, $2,000 on a 50K, $2,500 on a 100K, $4,500 on a 150K) and a fixed static drawdown on the 150K, 200K and 300K static accounts ($1,000, $2,000 and $5,000). The buffer stage repeats the drawdown figure against a smaller target, and the funded starting balance is the buffer target rather than the headline account size.
Commissions & fees
An evaluation is priced per 30 days and expires at the end of that window. The structure has a middle stage: after passing the evaluation the account enters a buffer phase with its own target ($1,500 to $3,500 depending on size) and its own consistency rule, and payouts only begin above that buffer. Consistency tightens or loosens with the mode - 55% on LAUNCH, 34% on PROPEL, none at all on ORBIT - and LAUNCH is the only mode that charges a fee at Launch ($99 on a 50K, $149 on a 100K, $179 on a 200K). Static-drawdown balances trade a much smaller position limit for a fixed rather than trailing loss limit. BluSky runs a 30OFF discount code on the PROPEL ladder.
Firm rules
Three stages, not two
Evaluation, buffer, brokerage
Passing the evaluation does not open payouts. The account enters a buffer stage with its own target - $1,500 on a 25K, $3,000 on a 50K, $3,500 on a 100K - and its own consistency rule, and only above that buffer do daily payouts start. The brokerage stage that follows has no profit caps and no payout caps.
Consistency depends on the mode
55%, 34% or none
LAUNCH applies 55% consistency in the evaluation, PROPEL 34%, and ORBIT none at all. Every mode then applies a consistency rule in the buffer stage - 34% on LAUNCH and PROPEL, 40% on ORBIT, 30% on Instant Funding - so the rule that matters is the one at the stage the account is actually in.
LAUNCH charges at Launch
The cheap entry has a later fee
LAUNCH is the cheapest way in ($59 on a 50K, $69 on a 100K, $79 on a 200K Static) because it charges an activation fee when the account launches: $99, $149 and $179 respectively. PROPEL costs more up front and charges nothing later, and ORBIT and Instant Funding have no activation fee.
Static balances trade size for certainty
Fixed drawdown, small limits
The 150K, 200K and 300K static accounts replace the trailing end-of-day drawdown with a fixed one ($1,000, $2,000 and $5,000), and in exchange the position limit is cut hard - 1 mini on the 150K Static and 2 minis on the 200K Static, against 15 minis on a 150K ORBIT.
Daily payouts above the buffer
Monday to Friday
Payouts can be requested every weekday once the balance is eligible, with a minimum of $500 on the smaller accounts and $1,000 on most. The split is 90% to the trader on all evaluation routes; Instant Funding on a 50K pays 80%, and the 3.5K Instant account pays 50% for its first 30 trading days before rising to 80%.
Instant Funding has extra limits
Daily loss and negative days
The Instant Funding route carries a daily loss limit ($2,000 on the 3.5K, $1,000 on the 50K) and caps negative days at 3 out of every 10 - a rule the evaluation routes do not have. It is also the most expensive way in, at $599 on a 50K and $749 on the 3.5K.

FAQs
5Evaluations are priced per 30 days: $59 for a 50K LAUNCH, $69 for a 100K LAUNCH, $105 for a 25K PROPEL, $112 for a 50K PROPEL and up to $224 for a 300K Static PROPEL. ORBIT, the one-day route, is $199 to $419. Instant Funding is $599 on a 50K. A 30OFF code was running against the PROPEL ladder on 26 October 2026, and LAUNCH accounts add an activation fee of $99 to $179 when the account launches.
Yes - BluSky allows a payout request every weekday once your balance is eligible and above the buffer. There are no payout caps and no profit caps at the brokerage stage. The minimum request is $500 or $1,000 depending on account size.
A middle stage between the evaluation and the brokerage account. After passing, the account starts at the buffer target rather than the headline balance - $3,000 on a 50K - and has to clear it under a consistency rule before payouts open. The drawdown figure from the evaluation carries over.
LAUNCH is cheapest up front but has the loosest evaluation consistency (55%) and charges a fee at Launch. PROPEL costs more, tightens consistency to 34% and charges nothing later. ORBIT can be passed in one day with no consistency rule but costs $199 to $419. Instant Funding skips the evaluation and adds a daily loss limit and a cap on negative days.
A balance where the maximum loss is a fixed figure rather than a trailing one - $1,000 on the 150K Static, $2,000 on the 200K Static, $5,000 on the 300K Static. The trade-off is position size: the 150K Static allows 1 mini against the 15 minis of a 150K trailing account.
