About the firm
Lucid Trading is a futures prop firm built around one-time-fee evaluations with no monthly rebilling and no activation fee on the upgrade to a funded account. Four routes are published: LucidPro, which can be passed in a single trading day, LucidFlex and LucidDaily, which trade a consistency rule for a built-in cushion, and LucidDirect, a straight-to-funded account with no evaluation phase. Accounts run from $25,000 to $150,000, the profit split is 90/10, and the dashboard upgrades a passed evaluation to funded within 5 to 30 minutes. Payouts average about 15 minutes once approved, through Plaid for US traders, WorkMarket by ADP internationally, or crypto.

Leverage & contract limits
Position limits: Approved products are published per symbol with their per-side commission (ES $1.75, MES $0.50, NQ $1.75, MNQ $0.50, RTY $1.75). Position limits are 2 mini / 20 micro on 25K, 4 / 40 on 50K, 6 / 60 on 100K and 10 / 100 on 150K.
Futures accounts are sized by contract limit and exchange margin rather than by a leverage multiplier, so no forex-style leverage figure applies.
Risk model: End-of-day trailing max loss limit of $1,000 (25K), $2,000 (50K), $3,000 (100K) and $4,500 (150K). LucidPro carries a daily loss limit on every size above 25K ($1,200 / $1,800 / $2,700); LucidFlex and LucidDaily drop the daily loss limit and apply a 50% consistency rule with a cushion instead. LucidDirect skips the evaluation and runs a fixed daily loss limit plus a scaling limit set at 60% of the peak end-of-day balance.
Commissions & fees
Evaluations are a one-time purchase with no subscription and no rebilling, so a failed account is restarted by buying a reset rather than waiting for a renewal; resets are neither automatic nor free. There is no activation fee to upgrade a passed LucidPro evaluation to funded, and the dashboard performs that upgrade within 5 to 30 minutes of the target being hit. Platform connectivity runs through CQG (NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TradingView) and Rithmic (Tradesea, Sierra Chart, Quantower, MotiveWave, Jigsaw, Bookmap, ATAS, R|Trader Pro, MultiCharts), and every platform works with every account type. Commissions are charged per side and published per contract - $1.75 on ES, NQ and RTY, $0.50 on MES and MNQ. Lucid publishes separate prohibitions on hedging, high-frequency trading and micro-scalping.
Firm rules
One-time fee, resets are paid
No subscription
LucidPro evaluations and LucidDirect accounts are bought with a single fee. Nothing rebills, and there is no time limit on passing - but because there is no billing cycle there is also no free restart. A failed evaluation is restarted by buying a reset from the dashboard, which returns the balance and risk parameters to their starting state. Reset prices are published per size: $75, $120, $190 and $255.
Max loss limit trails on the close
End of day, not intraday
The max loss limit is $1,000 on a 25K, $2,000 on a 50K, $3,000 on a 100K and $4,500 on a 150K, and it trails on end-of-day balance rather than intraday equity. LucidDirect runs a higher limit ($1,000 / $2,000 / $3,500 / $5,000) because there is no evaluation in front of it.
Payout needs three things
Profit goal, consistency, buffer
A payout request needs the cycle's minimum profit goal ($250 on a 25K up to $1,000 on a 150K), a largest single day no more than 40% of the profit earned in that cycle, and a balance above the buffer - the initial max loss limit plus $100, which cannot itself be withdrawn. All three reset after every approved payout, and requests are final once submitted.
90/10 split
10% to the firm
Every funded payout is split 90% to the trader and 10% to Lucid Trading. Accounts bought or reset before 28 November 2025 keep an older entitlement to 100% of the first $10,000. The minimum request is $500.
Daily loss limits differ by route
And by size
LucidPro applies a daily loss limit of $1,200 on a 50K, $1,800 on a 100K and $2,700 on a 150K, with none on the 25K. LucidFlex and LucidDaily have no daily loss limit and apply 50% consistency in the evaluation instead. LucidDirect pairs a fixed daily loss limit with a scaling one set at 60% of the peak end-of-day balance.
Prohibited strategies
Hedging, HFT, micro-scalping
Lucid publishes separate policies prohibiting hedging across accounts, high-frequency trading and micro-scalping, alongside an inactivity policy and a trade-with-integrity standard. Allowed trading times and approved products are published per contract.

FAQs
5The LucidPro ladder was listed at $108 for a 25K, $172 for a 50K, $272 for a 100K and $365 for a 150K on 26 October 2026, with a 30% coupon shown at checkout. It is a one-time fee - there is no subscription and no activation fee when you pass. Resets cost $75, $120, $190 and $255 by size.
LucidPro can be passed in a single trading day and carries a daily loss limit on sizes above 25K. LucidFlex and LucidDaily remove the daily loss limit and apply a 50% consistency rule with a cushion built in, which makes a two-day pass the realistic floor. LucidDirect has no evaluation at all: you start building simulated capital and taking payouts immediately, under a slightly wider max loss limit and a scaling daily limit.
Lucid states that approved payouts average about 15 minutes. US traders are paid by instant bank transfer through Plaid; international traders use WorkMarket by ADP, which can pay to a bank account or PayPal as soon as the next business day, or crypto in BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT or USDC.
Three things at once: the minimum profit goal for your size in that cycle, a largest winning day of no more than 40% of the profit in the cycle, and a balance above the buffer - your initial max loss limit plus $100. The buffer cannot be withdrawn, and a trade that drops you back into it before processing can get the request denied.
Every platform works with every Lucid account type. Through CQG: NinjaTrader, Tradovate and TradingView. Through Rithmic: Tradesea, Sierra Chart, Quantower, MotiveWave, Jigsaw, Bookmap, ATAS, R|Trader Pro and MultiCharts.
