About the firm
Take Profit Trader is a futures prop firm built around paying traders from day one. A monthly-subscription Test account is passed by hitting a 6% profit target over at least three trading days without touching the end-of-day trailing drawdown, which moves a trader to a PRO account where withdrawals are available immediately - no minimum number of winning days, no payout window and no maximum withdrawal - once a buffer equal to the drawdown has been built. PRO pays 80/20; the PRO+ upgrade moves the account to a live, exchange-routed environment at 90/10 with no buffer requirement. Account sizes run $25,000 to $150,000 across 15+ platforms on CQG and Rithmic.

Leverage & contract limits
Position limits: Maximum position size is 3 contracts on a 25K, 6 on a 50K, 9 on a 75K, 12 on a 100K and 15 on a 150K, with micros counted at a tenth. Approved products and approved hours are published separately. Contract limits are not scaled down on the PRO account.
Futures accounts are sized by contract limit and exchange margin rather than by a leverage multiplier, so no forex-style leverage figure applies.
Risk model: End-of-day maximum trailing drawdown, calculated at the close rather than intraday: $1,500 on a 25K, $2,000 on a 50K, $2,500 on a 75K, $3,000 on a 100K and $4,500 on a 150K. Consistency is two rules at once - at least three trading days, and no single day worth more than 50% of net profit. Breaking the 50% rule does not fail the account; it raises the profit goal until the percentage comes back under. PRO accounts keep the end-of-day drawdown and add a buffer requirement before withdrawal; PRO+ removes the buffer.
Commissions & fees
The Test account is a monthly subscription; resetting it issues a fresh test with the same parameters. Drawdown on a test account is calculated only at the end of the trading day, not on open trades, and appears in the dashboard as a minimum account balance. PRO accounts can be reset up to three times each, at $449 to $1,499 by size, which skips a fresh evaluation. Withdrawals from the wallet over $250 are free; $250 or less carries a $50 fee, and PayPal may add its own. Access from a restricted country - including by VPN or a shared network that routes through one - blocks the account on a single instance, in line with CME rules. Trade copiers are permitted under a published policy, and counter positions are prohibited.
Firm rules
Six published rules
Target, size, drawdown, products, consistency, counter positions
Take Profit Trader numbers its rules: hit the profit target (6% of account size), do not exceed the maximum position size, do not hit the end-of-day maximum trailing drawdown, trade approved products during approved hours, be consistent, and take no counter positions. Each is published as its own article with the figures per account size.
End-of-day drawdown only
Not measured intraday
The trailing drawdown on a test account is calculated at the end of the trading day rather than during open trades, so an intraday spike in open profit does not raise the floor. It is $1,500 on a 25K, $2,000 on a 50K, $2,500 on a 75K, $3,000 on a 100K and $4,500 on a 150K, and shows in the dashboard as a minimum account balance.
Consistency is three days plus 50%
And missing it is not a fail
A test needs at least three trading days - a day being any day with at least one trade - and no single day may be worth more than 50% of net profit. Going over 50% does not fail the account: the profit goal is automatically raised until the percentage falls back under, so the way through is more total profit rather than a reset.
Day-one payouts, behind a buffer
Buffer equals the drawdown
A PRO account can withdraw from day one with no minimum number of winning days and no maximum amount, but only above the buffer zone, which is set at the account's maximum drawdown. A 50K must reach $52,000 before withdrawing; a 150K $154,500. PRO+ removes the buffer requirement entirely.
PRO is 80/20, PRO+ is 90/10
And PRO+ is live
The PRO account pays the trader 80% of simulated profits. Upgrading to PRO+ moves the account into a live environment where orders are routed to the exchange by a regulated broker, raises the split to 90/10 and removes the buffer. Up to five PRO or PRO+ accounts may be held; test accounts are unlimited.
Withdrawal fees and restricted access
$50 under $250
Withdrawals from the wallet above $250 are free; $250 or less is charged $50, deducted automatically, and PayPal may add its own fees. Access from a restricted country, including through a VPN or a shared network, blocks the account on a single instance - placing a trade or even viewing market data counts.
PRO resets
Three per account
A PRO account may be reset up to three times, at $449 (25K), $649 (50K), $799 (75K), $999 (100K) or $1,499 (150K). A reset skips a fresh evaluation and restores day-one withdrawal rights on a new account with the same parameters. Take Profit Trader describes the cost as a convenience fee, not posted capital.

FAQs
5Test accounts are monthly subscriptions: $150 for a 25K, $170 for a 50K, $245 for a 75K, $330 for a 100K and $360 for a 150K. The firm states a failed test costs at most $360. PRO resets, which are optional, run from $449 to $1,499 by size and are allowed three times per account.
From day one in a PRO account - there is no minimum number of profitable days, no payout window and no cap on the amount. The one condition is the buffer: your balance must be above your starting balance plus your maximum drawdown, so a 50K needs to reach $52,000. PRO+ removes the buffer requirement.
Two things. You need at least three trading days, counting any day you place a trade, and no single day may be more than 50% of your net profit. If one day is worth more than half, you have not failed - your profit goal is raised automatically until the ratio comes back under 50%.
PRO is a simulated account paying 80/20 with a buffer requirement before withdrawal. PRO+ is a live account whose orders are routed to the exchange by a regulated broker, paying 90/10 with no buffer. Both allow day-one withdrawals and up to five accounts per trader.
At the end of the trading day, not during open trades - which is why Take Profit Trader describes it as an EOD maximum trailing drawdown. It equals $1,500 on a 25K up to $4,500 on a 150K, and the dashboard shows it as your minimum account balance.
