Requirements listed

Billed monthly, not once

  • Unlike most futures firms, FTMO charges the evaluation as a monthly subscription. Growth is $119, $169 and $229 a month by size and Pro is $139, $199 and $269. A reset costs slightly less than one month. There is no activation fee, and a trader may run unlimited evaluations, each on its own subscription.

End-of-day trailing drawdown on equity

  • The loss level trails the end-of-day equity, only ever rises, and locks permanently once it reaches the initial simulated capital. Published figures are $2,000 / $3,500 / $5,000 on Growth and $3,000 / $4,500 / $6,000 on Pro across the 50K, 100K and 150K. Because it does not trail intraday, open profit during the session does not drag the threshold up.

Growth has no daily loss limit

  • Growth carries no daily loss limit at all, which is what makes its evaluation the easier of the two. Pro sets a hard daily limit of $1,000 on a 50K, $1,500 on a 100K and $2,000 on a 150K, and breaching it ends the evaluation rather than pausing the day.

Consistency applies to the Evaluation only

  • The best single day must stay under 40% of total profit on Growth and 50% on Pro while in the evaluation. Once the account is Sim-Funded there is no consistency rule and no profit target - only the drawdown, and on Pro the daily limit, continue to apply.

Five, ten or fifteen mini-equivalents

  • Position size is capped at 5 mini-equivalents on a 50K, 10 on a 100K and 15 on a 150K, drawn from 30 CME symbols - 19 E-minis and 11 micros. Ten micro contracts count as one mini against the limit.

Three funded accounts, $450,000 of capital

  • A trader may hold up to three Sim-Funded accounts at once, counted across both routes, for a combined maximum of $450,000 in simulated capital.

Commission is charged per side

  • $0.50 per side on mini contracts and $0.20 per side on micros, with exchange and NFA fees on top. News trading is allowed.
