Questions about this page
What is the cheapest prop firm challenge for a $100,000 account?
Of the 23 firms tracked here, Atmos Funded is cheapest to a $100,000 funded account at $149. The median across every tracked firm is $419. Cost is compared at the same account size on purpose: a "from" price is not comparable when one firm's smallest account is $5,000 and another's is $50,000.
What types of prop firm challenge are there?
Across the firms tracked here: 1-step (23), instant (20), 2-step (19), 3-step (5), buy-now-pay-later (2). A one-step evaluation has a single profit target; a two-step adds a verification phase at a lower target; instant funding skips the evaluation entirely and is priced several times higher per $1,000 of funding because there is no challenge to pass.
What profit target do prop firm challenges use?
Phase-one targets among tracked firms range from 2% to 10%, with a median of 5%. A lower target is not automatically easier — it is usually paired with a tighter drawdown or a minimum trading-day requirement.
Is a trailing or static drawdown better in a challenge?
18 tracked firms use a trailing maximum drawdown and 3 use a static one. A trailing limit follows your peak balance, so profit you have made and given back still counts against you; a static limit is fixed to the starting balance and does not move. Static is materially easier to trade around, which is why it is worth checking before price.
Do I have to pass a challenge to get funded?
Not always — instant-funding programs skip the evaluation. 20 of the 23 tracked firms sell one. They cost considerably more per $1,000 of funding, and the trading rules on a funded account are usually the same either way, so the choice is about paying with time or paying with money.

What is a proprietary trading firm (prop firm)?
A proprietary trading firm, also known as a prop firm, is a company that provides traders with access to funded trading accounts. Instead of risking your own capital, you trade the firm’s funds and earn a share of the profits. Most prop firms require traders to pass an evaluation or challenge that tests consistency, risk management, and profitability before granting a funded account.
How do prop firm challenges work?
Prop firm challenges are evaluation programs where traders must meet specific profit targets while following strict risk management rules. These rules often include maximum daily drawdown, overall drawdown limits, minimum trading days, and consistency requirements. If you successfully complete the challenge and any verification phase, you can qualify for a funded trading account and receive a profit split.
How do I use a prop firm discount code on Prop Firm Pal?

The promo code will automatically copy to your clipboard and you will be redirected to the official prop firm website.
