Eightcap Challenges Review: Rules, Profit Split & Payouts

Eightcap Challenges is the prop trading program of the broker Eightcap, launched in November 2025 and run on the broker's own infrastructure rather than through a third-party broker. It sells three products: a One Phase (1-step) challenge, a Two Phase (2-step) challenge, and Day Trader Challenges, where a trader stakes $5 to $500 on a simulated $10,000 account for 1 to 8 hours and, on success, is paid the stake times a chosen multiplier of up to 10x. The evaluations come in sizes from $5,000 to $200,000, pay an 80% profit split that an add-on raises to 90%, allow up to $600,000 in combined accounts, and trade on MT4, MT5, TradingView or TradeLocker.

The One Phase challenge asks for a 10% profit target within a 4% daily and 8% maximum loss, with 5 minimum trading days, from $69. The Two Phase asks for 9% then 5% within 5% daily and 10% overall, with 3 and then 5 minimum days, from $59. Neither has a time limit. Daily drawdown is based on the previous day's balance and the maximum drawdown on the initial balance. The Eightcap Challenges rules that catch traders out: a daily profit distribution rule in the Payout stage (one day may supply at most 25% of a One Phase payout or 30% on Two Phase, higher for newer accounts), a per-cycle profit cap of 5% of the initial balance on One Phase and 10% on Two Phase, a news trading blackout around high-impact events, and bans on hedging, martingale, grid, latency arbitrage and gap trading. EAs are allowed. Accounts close after 30 days without a trade.

Payouts can be requested after a 14-day waiting period on the Payout stage and are typically processed within 2 business days. The minimum payout is $100 after the split, bank wires carry a $50 fee and crypto payouts 1%, and KYC is required once cumulative payouts pass $1,000. Challenge fees are not refunded. Residents of 21 territories, including Russia, Iran and Ukraine, cannot take part, and US residents cannot buy challenges on MT4 or MT5.

Eightcap Challenges web traffic, month by month

Prop Firm Pal has tracked Eightcap Challenges's website traffic every month since November 2025. In September 2026 the site received an estimated 156.85K visits, up 20% on the month before and up 284% over three months.

Growth of this size usually means active marketing rather than anything about payout reliability. A firm can grow quickly and still have strict rules.

These are third-party estimates of website visits, collected once a month and stored against the month they describe. They are not trader counts, funded-account numbers or revenue.

How Eightcap Challenges compares in size

Measured on estimated monthly website visits for September 2026, Eightcap Challenges ranks 77 of the 467 prop firms Prop Firm Pal tracks — larger than 84% of them, at roughly 156.85K visits a month.

The ranking covers every firm measured between July 2026 and September 2026, each on its own latest reading in that window. Firms last measured before July 2026 are left out rather than shown with a stale figure, so the total moves month to month.

Size is not quality. A large firm is one that markets successfully, and several of the most visited firms in this ranking have the strictest rules; some of the smallest pay out reliably to everyone who asks. What the ranking is useful for is scale — whether you are looking at an established operation or something very new.

FAQs

Is Eightcap a prop firm?

Eightcap is a broker that runs a prop trading program called Eightcap Challenges, launched in November 2025. It offers One Phase and Two Phase evaluations from $5,000 to $200,000 and short Day Trader Challenges on simulated accounts.

How much does an Eightcap Challenges account cost?

The One Phase challenge costs $69 for $5,000 up to $1,299 for $200,000, and the Two Phase costs $59 for $5,000 up to $1,199 for $200,000. Day Trader Challenges take a stake of $5 to $500.

What is the Eightcap Challenges profit split?

The standard profit split is 80%, and a Profit Split add-on raises it to 90%. Day Trader Challenges instead pay the stake multiplied by the chosen multiplier, up to 10x.

What are the Eightcap Challenges rules?

The One Phase needs a 10% profit target within a 4% daily and 8% maximum loss over at least 5 trading days. The Two Phase needs 9% then 5% within 5% daily and 10% overall, with 3 and 5 minimum days, and neither has a time limit.

How is the Eightcap Challenges daily drawdown calculated?

Daily drawdown is a percentage of the previous day's balance snapshot, and the account breaches if equity falls below it. The maximum drawdown is a fixed percentage of the initial balance, and breaching either closes the account permanently.
