Rulebook10
No Grid Trading
- •
This applies whether a trader is adding into losses or stacking into winning positions. Accounts found using grid strategies will be terminated regardless of overall account performance.
No High-Frequency Trading
- •
All trading activity must meet a minimum volume-weighted average holding time of at least 2 minutes, calculated by multiplying each trade's holding time by its volume and dividing by total volume. Accounts falling below this threshold will be failed for unrealistic trading methods.
No News Trading on Instant Funded
- •
This restriction results in immediate automatic account failure. The rule does not apply during challenge phases on evaluation account types, where news trading is unrestricted.
News Trading Restrictions on Funded Pro Accounts
- •
In addition to the timing restriction, no more than 30% of a trader's total profits may derive from news-influenced trades. Breaching either condition on a funded Pro account constitutes a violation.
No Weekend Holding on Instant Funded
- •
This applies to every instrument including crypto. Any trade found open over the weekend will trigger automatic account failure. Pro account holders are permitted to hold trades over the weekend.
Copy Trading Restrictions
- •
Traders may copy their own trades between their own FundingTraders Pro accounts only. Sharing signals with other traders is also not permitted and will result in termination of all accounts held.
30-Day Inactivity Rule
- •
Accounts with no trading activity within this window are permanently failed and cannot be restored or reactivated. The 30-day clock begins on the purchase date, not the date of last activity.
No Off-the-Shelf EAs
- •
Any other automated system must be personally developed by the trader, who must fully understand its strategy, entry and exit logic, and risk parameters. The risk team may request an explanation of the EA's behaviour at any time, and inability to provide one will result in the account being treated as in violation.
Overleveraging Prohibited
- •
Consistently high per-trade risk particularly around news events or with sudden increases in position size, will trigger a review by the risk team. Accounts exhibiting dangerous or unsustainable risk management may be terminated following investigation.
Instant Funded Max Lot Size
- •
Any trade placed above this limit results in immediate automatic account failure. This restriction applies specifically to Instant Funded accounts; other account types do not carry a hard lot size cap.
