FTMO presents itself as a professional and transparent prop firm, but my experience suggests something very different. I purchased a $50k 2-Step Challenge, followed the rules carefully, and successfully passed both phases. I spent a significant amount of time studying their conditions, adapting my trading to what they claim to expect, and making sure I was operating within their framework. After doing all of that, instead of receiving the funded account, I was suddenly accused of “one-sided betting”, my account was terminated, and I was hit with a permanent ban. What makes this even worse is the blatant contradiction in their own process. During the evaluation, FTMO’s dashboard rated my trading style as “Good”. So while I was paying, participating, and completing the challenge, my behaviour was apparently acceptable. But once I passed, the exact same trading suddenly became “non-genuine.” That does not look like transparency or fairness. It looks like a convenient excuse used after the fact. The most serious problem is that FTMO did not provide any clear, objective, or verifiable justification. No precise trades identified. No measurable thresholds. No transparent review criteria. No real evidence. Just vague references to internal checks and broad contractual wording. That is simply not good enough when you are making such a serious accusation against a client who already fulfilled the stated requirements. Even more disturbingly, access to the relevant account information was removed in a way that prevented me from recovering screenshots and records that could have been used to challenge their decision. In other words, they made a severe allegation, imposed the maximum penalty, and at the same time made it harder for me to defend myself. That is not how an honest company behaves. From my perspective, this feels less like a genuine evaluation model and more like a system where results can be invalidated retroactively whenever it becomes inconvenient to honour them. Anyone considering FTMO should understand the risk very clearly: even if you pass, you may still be denied the outcome with vague accusations, no transparency, and no meaningful accountability. Extremely disappointing. Deeply unfair. Completely lacking in transparency.

I think FTMO has the most beginner friendly rules and it's also one of the most consistent prop firm with payouts. I'm totally satisfied with its service and support.
