The Trading Pit Review: Rules, Profit Split & Payouts
The Trading Pit is a Liechtenstein-based prop firm that runs CFD, futures and stocks challenges side by side, operated by The Trading Pit Challenge GmbH. On CFDs it sells Prime challenges in 1-phase and 2-phase versions, with balances listed up to $200,000, and a CFDs Instant earning account that skips the challenge. Futures Prime challenges run from $50,000 to $150,000, and Stocks challenges of $25,000 and $50,000 cover more than 9,000 U.S. stocks, IPOs and ETFs. The profit split is 80% on CFDs and Futures Prime and 70% on stocks, and the firm reports $17M+ in rewards.
Futures Prime costs €99, €189 or €289 for a 30-day challenge with a 6% profit target, a daily pause that closes positions until the next session, and a max drawdown of $2,000 to $4,500 trailing on end-of-day balance until it reaches the starting balance. It needs 3 trading days per phase, positions are force-closed at 15:55 CT, news trading is allowed, and its 40% consistency rule raises the target instead of failing the account. Stocks challenges (€99 and €249) set a 7% target, a 2% daily pause, a 5% trailing drawdown, 3 minimum days and no time limit. On CFDs, The Trading Pit bans trading 2 minutes either side of high-impact news on $100,000 and $200,000 accounts, while its terms list news bracketing as prohibited without that limit. CFDs Instant has a 6% trailing drawdown, no daily drawdown and a 1% max position loss. CFD Prime targets and drawdown percentages were not found on the pages read.
CFD Prime rewards can be requested every 14 days above $100, the first 14 days after the earning account is issued. CFDs Instant pays every 14 days above $200, capped at the lower of $2,500 or 50% of profit. Futures Prime needs 5 profitable days of $150 and pays up to 50% of profit, capped at $2,500 to $5,000. Requests are processed within 24 hours on business days by bank wire or crypto. The help centre offers a refund within 14 days if the account has no trading activity; the CFDs Instant fee is not refundable. The terms call the reward rates on the website indicative only.

Opening trades or having pending orders filled within 2 minutes of high-impact news is not allowed on $100,000 and $200,000 CFD accounts or on Futures Classic, while Futures Prime, CFDs Instant and Stocks allow news trading; the terms list news bracketing as prohibited without that scope.
Traders may run EAs they created themselves, but EAs that copy others' signals, use emulators, arbitrage, trade at high frequency or manipulate the system lead to termination.
Copying trades between your own accounts is allowed on CFD Prime and on up to 5 futures accounts, forbidden between CFD Classic accounts and between Futures Prime challenge and earning accounts, and copying other traders is prohibited on every program.
Hedging inside one account for risk management is allowed, but opposite or correlated positions across two accounts and hedging arbitrage are prohibited.
High-frequency trading strategies are not permitted.
The consistency rule is 30% of total profit for CFDs Instant payouts, 40% of the profit target on Futures Prime and Stocks challenges (where exceeding it raises the target), and 50% of positive days' profit for rewards on 1-Phase $100K and $200K CFD accounts created from July 2026.
CFDs Instant allows weekend holding except on commodities, energies, metals and crypto, and Futures Classic positions must be closed by Friday 16:00 CT.
Futures Prime positions still open at 15:55 CT are force-closed, and Stocks positions are liquidated 10 minutes before the market close.
Futures and Stocks challenges need 3 trading days per phase, CFD Classic needs 5, and CFD Prime needs 3 profitable days of at least 0.5% of the initial balance.
The Futures Prime challenge lasts 30 days and can be extended for a fee, while Stocks challenges have no time limit.
Purchases are unlimited, but CFD earning accounts are capped at 4 on the rules page and 8 in the help centre with $400,000 combined, futures at 5 active earning accounts and CFDs Instant at 2 accounts.
On Stocks accounts, a stock cannot be traded unless its average daily volume over the past 14 days is more than 200,000 shares.
Reaching the profit target in a single trade is prohibited on every program.
Trades opened less than 2 hours before a market closes to exploit an expected price gap lead to account termination.
CFDs Instant limits the combined risk of open positions on one symbol to 1% of the starting balance; the first two breaches close the position and the third closes the account.
Stocks trades must stay open at least 1 minute and gain at least $0.10 per share, or their profit is excluded.

How The Trading Pit compares in size
Measured on estimated monthly website visits for September 2026, The Trading Pit ranks 46 of the 467 prop firms Prop Firm Pal tracks — larger than 90% of them, at roughly 321.06K visits a month.
The ranking covers every firm measured between July 2026 and September 2026, each on its own latest reading in that window. Firms last measured before July 2026 are left out rather than shown with a stale figure, so the total moves month to month.
Size is not quality. A large firm is one that markets successfully, and several of the most visited firms in this ranking have the strictest rules; some of the smallest pay out reliably to everyone who asks. What the ranking is useful for is scale — whether you are looking at an established operation or something very new.
