Maverick Trading Review: Rules, Profit Split & Payouts
Maverick Trading is an options and stock prop firm that does not sell challenges. Traders pass its qualification program and are then funded at Level 1 with what the firm says is real firm capital, not demo funds or simulation payouts. Founded in 1997 and listing Salt Lake City, UT as its location, Maverick Trading describes itself as a private equity trading firm that executes through brokers such as Interactive Brokers. Its funded traders trade stocks, options and futures and keep a 65% to 90% profit split depending on capital level and membership tier.
There is no evaluation with a profit target or deadline. Qualification means passing online tests, submitting a written trading plan and proving it in a Maverick demo account; most traders spend 1–2 months in the demo phase, and there is no set timeline. Maverick Trading publishes no drawdown percentages: position sizes, drawdown caps and exposure rules are agreed with each trader before trading, and its system enforces stop-outs if they are exceeded. The firm says it has no enforced consistency rule, but a capital increase needs two consecutive profitable months above the high-water mark. It actively discourages high-frequency trading and has no volume requirements. Level 1 capital depends on membership level: $4,000 for Associate, $10,000 for Professional and $20,000 for Partner.
Maverick Trading payouts are monthly. The FAQ says each options period's profits are disbursed on the 1st of the following month, and the payout page says monthly payouts are processed within two business days of the month's close, by ACH or wire, and only on profits above the high-water mark. The membership table lists a 60% profit split for Associate, 80% for Professional and 90% for Partner, below the 65% floor the payout page gives. The cost is a membership rather than a challenge fee: a $199 desk fee (monthly in the membership table, some or all of it credited toward services or the bond), a membership fee of $1000, $4000 or $8000, and a performance bond of $1000 or $2000 posted before live trading. No refund policy was found on the pages read.

Maverick Trading web traffic, month by month
Prop Firm Pal has tracked Maverick Trading's website traffic every month since November 2025. In August 2026 the site received an estimated 97.08K visits, broadly flat on the month before and up 392% over three months.
Growth of this size usually means active marketing rather than anything about payout reliability. A firm can grow quickly and still have strict rules.
These are third-party estimates of website visits, collected once a month and stored against the month they describe. They are not trader counts, funded-account numbers or revenue.

How Maverick Trading compares in size
Measured on estimated monthly website visits for August 2026, Maverick Trading ranks 99 of the 477 prop firms Prop Firm Pal tracks — larger than 79% of them, at roughly 97.08K visits a month.
The ranking covers every firm measured between June 2026 and August 2026, each on its own latest reading in that window. Firms last measured before June 2026 are left out rather than shown with a stale figure, so the total moves month to month.
Size is not quality. A large firm is one that markets successfully, and several of the most visited firms in this ranking have the strictest rules; some of the smallest pay out reliably to everyone who asks. What the ranking is useful for is scale — whether you are looking at an established operation or something very new.
