Take Profit Trader Review: Rules, Profit Split & Payouts
Take Profit Trader is a Florida-based futures prop firm that calls itself a one-step funding company, and the selling point it leads with is payouts from day one of the funded PRO account, then daily. Traders pass a single Test, billed as a monthly subscription with no time limit, in five account sizes from $25,000 to $150,000, then move to a simulated PRO account at an 80% profit split. PRO+ is a live-market account routed to the exchange through Tradovate, offered by invitation at the firm's discretion, with a 90% profit split, end-of-day drawdown and no buffer. Take Profit Trader lists 14 platforms on CQG and Rithmic data feeds, including Tradovate, NinjaTrader, TradingView and Quantower, for CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX futures.
The Take Profit Trader Test has a 6% profit target ($3,000 on a $50,000 account), a minimum of 3 trading days and a consistency rule: no single day may exceed 50% of net profit, and missing it raises the profit goal rather than failing the Test. The maximum trailing drawdown runs from $1,500 on $25,000 to $4,500 on $150,000; in the Test it moves up only on end-of-day balances, but touching the minimum balance intraday still liquidates the account, and there is no daily loss limit. In PRO the same drawdown trails intraday, unrealized gains included. Accounts are also closed for holding past the 4:55 PM Eastern auto-close, opposite positions in the same or related contracts such as ES and MES across any accounts you control, and trading bots; PRO and PRO+ must be flat one minute either side of FOMC, NFP and CPI.
In PRO, withdrawals at 80% begin once the balance clears a buffer equal to the maximum drawdown, for example $52,000 on a $50,000 account. Most Tradovate PRO withdrawals reach the wallet in 5-10 seconds, and wallet payouts go out through Plaid to US banks, PayPal or Wise after a compliance review of up to 12 business hours; wallet withdrawals of $250 or less carry a $50 fee. Activating a PRO account costs a one-time $130, which some promo codes waive. Unused accounts can be refunded within 72 hours, minus $75. The monthly Test price was not on the pages read.

Take Profit Trader web traffic, month by month
Prop Firm Pal has tracked Take Profit Trader's website traffic every month since November 2025. In August 2026 the site received an estimated 5.15M visits, down 18% on the month before and down 51% over three months.
Its busiest month on record was February 2026 at roughly 10.94M visits. Traffic now is 53% below that peak.
A fall of this size over a quarter is the pattern that most often precedes a firm winding down, though it is not proof of it on its own — marketing spend, seasonality and a single lost traffic source all produce the same shape. It is worth weighing before paying for an evaluation.
These are third-party estimates of website visits, collected once a month and stored against the month they describe. They are not trader counts, funded-account numbers or revenue.

How Take Profit Trader compares in size
Measured on estimated monthly website visits for August 2026, Take Profit Trader ranks 5 of the 477 prop firms Prop Firm Pal tracks — larger than 99% of them, at roughly 5.15M visits a month.
The ranking covers every firm measured between June 2026 and August 2026, each on its own latest reading in that window. Firms last measured before June 2026 are left out rather than shown with a stale figure, so the total moves month to month.
Size is not quality. A large firm is one that markets successfully, and several of the most visited firms in this ranking have the strictest rules; some of the smallest pay out reliably to everyone who asks. What the ranking is useful for is scale — whether you are looking at an established operation or something very new.

FAQs
What is Take Profit Trader's profit split?
80% on the simulated PRO account and 90% on the live PRO+ account. PRO+ is by invitation only, at Take Profit Trader's discretion.
What are the Take Profit Trader drawdown rules?
The maximum trailing drawdown is $1,500 on a $25,000 account, $2,000 on $50,000, $2,500 on $75,000, $3,000 on $100,000 and $4,500 on $150,000, and it stops trailing at the starting balance. In the Test it trails end-of-day balances and in PRO it trails intraday including open profit; in both, reaching the minimum balance at any moment liquidates the account. There is no daily loss limit.
What are the Take Profit Trader payout rules?
PRO accounts can withdraw from day one and daily, at 80%, once the balance exceeds the buffer, which equals the maximum drawdown. Profits inside the buffer can only be taken when the account ends, at 50% within 60 trading days of opening or 80% after that. You must be flat to request a withdrawal, and wallet payouts are paid by Plaid to US banks, PayPal or Wise.
How much does a Take Profit Trader account cost?
The monthly Test subscription price was not on the pages we read. The published costs are a one-time $130 PRO activation fee, Test resets from $79 to $199 by account size, PRO resets from $449 to $1,499, and commissions of $4.50 per round trip per contract ($1.50 on micros).
Does Take Profit Trader charge an activation fee?
Yes, a standard one-time $130 fee to activate a PRO account after passing the Test, which some promo codes replace with an activation credit. The homepage contrasts this with the monthly recurring fees it attributes to other firms.
